Frequently Asked Questions
What's does it mean to be an "Independent" Agency?
There are two primary types of Insurance Agencies out there, captive and independent.
Captive Agencies, such as State Farm, only sell the products that this particular company offers and are not allowed to quote any others. If you walk into a captive agent's office, you will get a quote from only 1 insurance company with no prices to compare, no policy feature or coverage options to compare, nor will you have an *independent* agent there to advise you on the value of this company's quote compared to others.
*Independent* Agencies, such as Farr Insurance Group, work with many different Insurance Companies so we can shop, compare, and provide you with the right coverage at a great price. Insurance prices vary by many, many factors so it's important we are able to quote you with the company that is the best match.
How much does it cost to get a quote or have an experienced Agent review my current coverage?
Quotes and coverage reviews are completely FREE. They cost nothing, and you're not obligated to move forward with anything proposed to you. We're here to help you and that's our priority.
Why do I need to buy insurance?
Insurance allows you to transfer most of the risk of unforeseen events that might cause you or your property harm. You pay a small premium, while the insurance company provides you a policy with specific details on how they will pay for or mitigate the losses you could incur. In addition to protecting from loss, insurance products can protect you from liability in the event you're responsible for injury or damages to a third party.
